Klausing Group on Apr 16, 2019

April 16, 2019 | Lexington, KY: Today, Klausing Group announced it will be fielding its first landscape maintenance crew using entirely battery powered small equipment. This is our company’s first step in a three-year strategic initiative to replace gasoline powered two-cycle equipment with cleaner, more sustainable, battery powered equipment.

Klausing Group is the first commercial landscape maintenance provider in the Lexington market to utilize battery powered equipment. Battery powered products provide numerous benefits for our customers, our employees, and the environment including reduced noise pollution, less vibration and greater operator comfort, and zero emissions.

“This decision is evidence of our leadership in the area of sustainability and our commitment to being responsible beyond obligation. I credit this to a company culture of innovation and ingenuity, a focus on non-traditional education and continued learning, vendor partners that share our vision, and a field staff that is willing to embrace the future.” - Don Lewis, Division Manager.

Klausing Group expresses its gratitude towards everyone that has been a part of making this transition possible, especially our partners at Central Equipment, Bryan Equipment Sales, and Stihl. We eagerly anticipate the many more steps we will take on this journey toward sustainability, leading our market and the green industry.
