Green Waves Radio Interview - Green Roofs, Urban Tree Canopy Coverage, and Fall Planting

Dan Stever on Oct 20, 2016

In case you missed our on-air interview with Chris Porter on the radio, you can listen to the entire show here.  Green Waves Radio is a program of Bluegrass Green Source and is aired on Lexington Community Radio 93.9.

Chris opens his show with updates about environmental issues with a focus on what's happening locally in the Lexington area and how the national conversation can affect Kentuckians.  This was Klausing Group's second visit to the show, and we discussed wide ranging issues starting with a recent survey ranking the Greenest Cities in America where Louisville and Lexington scored near the bottom of the 100 largest cities (read the full article here).  We also covered what's happening in Lexington to help improve our 'green rating' like the efforts to improve our urban tree canopy coverage and the installation of green roofs.  Aside from issues of sustainability, we also discussed what to plant in the fall and why fall is a great time for gardening.

You can catch Chris Porter and Green Waves Radio every Friday from 11 - Noon on 93.9.
