Klausing Group is committed to the health and safety of our customers and our employees.  Being good stewards of the land is a powerful way to protect our health and safety.  We know landscapes can do more, and sometimes there is addition through subtraction.  Klausing Group’s Naturally Better Turf Program has removed several commonly used synthetic products from our program and replaced them with naturally derived products.  By making the changes, we are contributing to cleaner water, cleaner air, and healthier cities while still delivering high quality results.

Our Naturally Better Turf Program is a mix of natural and synthetic products with a focus on optimizing soil health.  We proudly use Kentucky products, like Monty’s humic technology, to increase soil organic matter, reduce compaction, and improve soil biology.  This leads to increased nutrient availability, enhanced water retention, and reduced need for herbicides.  Healthy soils make for healthy plants.

Fertilizer choice also makes a difference.  Nitrogen and Phosphorus pollution are serious problems in America causing toxic algal blooms in our water ways, and contributing to air pollution.  By changing to a truly slow release complete fertilizer, Klausing Group is helping protect our shared environment.  As Wendell Berry said, “Do unto those downstream as you would have those upstream do unto you.”

By removing several synthetic products, focusing on soil health, and using smarter fertilizers, Klausing Group’s Naturally Better Turf Program is like no other.  It is a complete approach, scientifically based, with proven results to grow the best looking turf.  We offer three unique programs, each is designed to meet different budget requirements while still meeting high standards of health and safety.
